JENNIFER  SHEPARD

The Austin Children's Theater was designed as a group project with team members Emily Knippling, Dirk Nicholson, and Jill Weinberg. The theater's design honored regional vernacular architecture through a special site plan and with building materials, used simple forms in a way relatable to children, fostered engagement by encouraging cognitive and sensory imagination, and made a strong connection to nature. The result was a colorful, playful, and purposeful multibuilding campus.
